Constructed from 5mm toughened glass, these panels provide a durable, transparent barrier that allows existing data centre lighting to illuminate the POD, reducing the need for additional internal lighting. In the event of a fire, the glass panels can be configured to open automatically upon activation of the fire suppression system, ensuring immediate access of the suppressant into the POD to protect equipment and maintain safety.

Where data centre lighting may be insufficient, integrated LED lighting within the glass panels ensures consistent visibility. In the event of a fire, the panels are designed to open automatically when the fire suppression system is triggered, allowing immediate access of the suppressant into the POD.

Solid steel plate ceiling modules offer robust air containment within the Modu-POD system while providing the versatility to integrate additional critical sensors and safety equipment. Without glass, these plates enable the secure installation of PIR sensors to automatically activate lighting, as well as smoke sensors to enhance fire safety. Additionally, fire suppression canisters can be mounted into the ceiling plate for localized protection. This design ensures effective containment of hot and cold air, while seamlessly incorporating essential monitoring and safety features to support data centre operations.

Solid steel plate ceiling modules in the Modu-POD system provide strong air containment and support for integrated safety and monitoring equipment, such as PIR sensors, smoke detectors, and fire suppression canisters. Additionally, they offer built-in cable management options for efficient organization between racks, optimizing both containment and operational functionality within the data centre.

Passive PDU's

Locally designed and manufactured, iCE PDUs offer a reliable and customizable power distribution solution tailored to meet diverse data centre requirements. These passive PDUs are available in a range of configurations, including traditional 6-way and 10-way South African plug options (16A/32A), IEC plug types, and advanced C13 and C19 setups. For rack-mounted applications, options include a 12-way horizontal unit (16A/32A), while high-capacity configurations feature a 24-way 0U vertical mount with 20 x C13 and 4 x C19 connectors (32A). To further enhance flexibility, iCE PDUs can be customized with specific power cable lengths and multiple plug options, such as open-ended cables, C19, or IEC Industrial plugs (16A/32A). These locally produced solutions ensure optimal performance and adaptability for modern data centre environments.

LED Lighting Status

The Modu-POD system features innovative in-POD colored lighting that provides real-time visual feedback on operational status. The lighting changes color based on sensor data, offering intuitive monitoring at a glance. When systems are functioning optimally, the lighting displays a calming blue. It switches to white when doors are opened, ensuring clear visibility for maintenance or inspections. In the event of high temperatures or restricted airflow, the lighting turns red, signaling immediate attention is required. This smart lighting enhances both efficiency and safety, making it easier to maintain ideal conditions within the POD.

Server Racks

While hot and cold air containment is essential for cooling efficiency, the server racks play a critical role in housing vital equipment and, most importantly, ensuring that cool air flows effectively through the system. By maximizing perforations in the front and rear server doors, cool air can circulate freely, allowing it to pass through the doors and maintain ideal temperatures for all equipment. This design enhances both airflow and thermal management, creating an environment that supports optimal performance and longevity for critical infrastructure.
